Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Practical, skills-based support for understanding the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors—and developing more helpful ways to respond.
About Luna
I am a bilingual and bicultural Marriage and Family Therapist working in Mandarin and English. My role is to offer a steady, thoughtful relationship where all parts of your experience can be understood.

My story
From Jiangsu to California, a life shaped by more than one culture.
I am an immigrant from China. I grew up in Jiangsu Province and came to the United States for college, studying Psychology and Education at UC Davis. That journey informs how I understand belonging, identity, and the adjustment to life in a new country.
I specialize in immigrant and cross-cultural family dynamics, including cultural stress, culture shock, and the process of settling into life in the U.S. Together, we can explore changing family roles, intergenerational expectations, and what it means to feel at home across cultures.
I have a particular focus on immigrants working in the tech industry, where adapting to a new culture can intersect with workplace expectations, pressure to achieve, and questions of identity and belonging. Therapy offers space to understand these pressures and find ways forward that fit your values.
The therapeutic relationship
You do not need to arrive with the right words. We begin with what is here.
People often come to therapy carrying concerns they have managed privately for a long time—sometimes for months, years, or even across different stages of life. Therapy can offer a space to slow down, make sense of what you have been carrying, and explore new ways of relating to yourself, your relationships, and the challenges in front of you.
I believe that every part of life—including moments of joy, uncertainty, loss, change, and difficulty—can hold the possibility for growth. My role is not to tell you who to be or what choices to make. Instead, I work collaboratively with you to better understand your experiences, recognize patterns that may no longer be serving you, and build choices that feel more grounded, meaningful, and aligned with who you are.
My approach is warm, collaborative, culturally responsive, and individualized. I draw from evidence-informed and relationship-centered approaches, tailoring therapy to each client’s needs, goals, strengths, developmental stage, and lived experience.
